Hello, I am the student nurse, the giver of holistic care, the promoter of independence, the slave to the staff nurse, and as my lecturers tell me, the future of the NHS. Welcome to my blog.
Now that you know who I am and we are all friends, I would like to give you an insight into life as a student nurse. Throughout my posts on my blog, I will tell you about what experiences I have endured while on placement and from the classroom.
I would like you to know that all names that I use in my posts will be pseudo names to maintain the confidentiality of all persons and departments involved. It is all about the Data Protection Act 1998 and meeting the NMC codes of conduct (as any other student nurse will have had this drilled into their heads from day one, and so they should, it is an important matter).
I have just completed my first year of training and shall start my second year in September.
